Why we exist

Three specifications decide whether a mitt order works, and none of them appears on a normal listing.

What we do not make

Aprons — there is a whole specialist site for those. Tea towels. Cutting boards. Chef coats. Each is its own product with its own specialist, and we will point you at one rather than sell you the wrong thing.

And we will not embroider through a waterproof silicone shell — piercing it defeats it — or sell a decorative cotton mitt for a dish-pit job. The spec has to match the sink.

The tests you can run yourself

Splash a little water on the mitt you own. If it beads and rolls, the rating stands; if it soaks in, the mitt beside your sink is not the mitt on its label.

Look at where your oven scars actually are. If there is a line on a forearm, you have been buying cuffs two inches too short for years.

On branding

Embroidery on the back panel — the side that faces the room for the years the mitt hangs on its hook. Edge-to-edge screen print on cotton shells and pot holders. A moulded-in pattern or printed cuff band on silicone shells. A woven label on the loop.

The discipline is placement: a mitt is seen hanging far more than it is seen worn, so the back panel is the billboard and the loop is load-bearing before it is anything else.
